The objectives of the action:
- To increase workers’ participation in the aviation sector undertakings and provide the support to realise employees’ rights to participation and consultation in time of the crisis;
- To analyse and improve the understanding and knowledge of the public sector workers on implementation of their rights according to the Directive 2009/38/EC and 2003/72/EC4 and 2003/72/E;
- To give opportunity both employees and employers to identify their concerns and present it at an international consultation meeting;
- To raise awareness of both workers and employers on how to realize the EC directives in time of crisis and how to strengthen consultation mechanisms during the crisis;
- To provide the possible solutions on the workers’ involvement in decision-making dealing with the crisis caused by COVID-19, challenges of the employees and employers in the crisis;
- To deliver guiding principles on how to effectively manage equal involvement of workers in decisionmaking during restructuring and transitioning periods caused by the COVID-19;
- To ensure the importance of cooperation and open decision making over not taking into consideration of workers’ interests during the crisis;
- To increase public sector workers knowledge and practical skills to defend their rights and lobbying their interests during the crisis;
- To provide the employees and employers joint conclusions on the conditions in terms of information, consultation and participation during the novel pandemic;
- To transfer positive know-how from EU level stakeholders related to the workers’ involvement in decision making during the crisis;
- To raise awareness on how to increase consultation and participation mechanisms in the aviation sector undertakings during the crisis and suggest common approaches.
